For many people searching online, one question comes up repeatedly: Can first-time buyers get a mortgage with bad credit? In the UK mortgage market, it’s one of the most common concerns I hear. A recent client of mine from the North East had been rejected by a high street lender after missing a couple of credit card payments several years ago. They believed their dream of buying their first home was over before it had even started.
